Social & Cultural Development

Both Religious Studies and Theology contribute ideas on issues of multi-culturalism, minorities, human rights and responsibilities, conflict and reconciliation: they have much to say about politics, society and family life; introduce pupils to many of the greatest artistic, musical and dramatic productions in history, underining the values by which societies live.

With sufficient opportunity, Religious Studies, and the Theology which follow it, should broaden significantly the outlooks of students and encourage thought at greater depth.

There can be few areas of academic endeavour which, in the contemporary global climate of systemic change and civilisational conflict, can hope to deliver the through life value offered by the solial anthropology constituted by Religious Studies and Theology Department.
